"Roles of the FDIC and Career Opportunities": Dolan Dean's Executive Forum, Jan. 24

Travis Hill, vice chairman of the FDIC board of directors, will present at the Fairfield Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum to kick off the spring 2024 semester.

The Charles F. Dolan School of Business is pleased to welcome the vice chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) board of directors, Travis Hill, to headline the spring semester's first Fairfield Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum, titled “Roles of the FDIC and Career Opportunities," on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 5 p.m. in the Kelley Center.

In this moderated discussion, Hill will bridge the gap between academic affairs and industry knowledge, through his extensive experience in the regulatory field. Understanding regulatory affairs is a key aspect of financial literacy and provides valuable insights into today’s financial landscape.

Hill has served in the vice chairman role since Jan. 5, 2023. Previously, he worked at the FDIC from 2018 to 2022 as deputy to the chairman for policy, and before that as senior advisor to the chairman. In these roles, among other responsibilities, he oversaw and coordinated regulatory and policy initiatives at the agency, and advised the chairman on regulatory and policy matters.

Zhan Li, DBA, dean of the Dolan School of Business, will lead the discussion, leveraging Hill's extensive regulatory expertise to foster insightful conversations and gather valuable insights.

The Fairfield Dolan Dean’s Executive Forum engages thought-leaders and distinguished executives to discuss issues that have profound impacts on business and/or societies.
