Top-Seeded Stags Compete for Second Straight MAAC Championship This Weekend at Siena

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´'s volleyball team will compete for the 2024 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship this weekend at Siena’s UHY Center in Loudonville, N.Y. The top-seeded Stags are vying for their second consecutive MAAC Championship and the 14th in program history.

As the MAAC Regular Season Champion – the team’s 23rd in the last 29 seasons – Fairfield has earned a bye to the semifinal round of the tournament. The Stags take the court this Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. against an opponent to be determined by action earlier in the weekend. The 2024 MAAC Championship Match is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Fairfield Volleyball was 17-1 in the MAAC as a part of a 19-11 overall record this season. The Stags are led by 2024 MAAC Coach of the Year Nancy Somera and boast a total of six All-MAAC student-athletes. Allie Elliott ’26, Mamie Krubally ’27 and Maya Walker ’26 were all tabbed for the All-MAAC First Team, the duo of Mikayla Haut ’25 and Blakely Montgomery ’25 was placed on the All-MAAC Second Team, and first-year Stag Harlan Wyche ’28 claimed a spot on the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
