Dolan School Among Best in Nation Says Princeton Review

The Princeton Review has again named 天美传媒视频无限制观看's Charles F. Dolan School of Business one of the outstanding business schools in the country.

The education services company features the Dolan School of Business and its MBA program in the new 2014 edition of its book, “The Best 295 Business Schools” (Random House/Princeton Review, 2013), which is based on the opinions of students. Editors did not rank the business schools on a single hierarchical list from 1 to 295. In compiling the list, Princeton Review editors analyzed data from surveys of 20,300 students at what they consider the best AACSB-accredited business schools in the United States as well as several AACSB-accredited business schools abroad.

The book is based on surveying business school students who rate and report on their experiences at their respective schools by answering an 80-question survey. Questions concern academics, student body and campus life, among other aspects of educational life.

Donald E. Gibson, Ph.D., dean of the Dolan School, pointed out that the school is on the exclusive list of graduate business programs for the ninth time in a row. “I’m especially pleased to hear of the honor because it is based on the viewpoints of Dolan School students who again awarded high marks for our top-notch faculty, challenging curriculum, and wealth of career opportunities.”

In the profile of the Dolan School, editors noted that it’s no surprise students flock to the MBA program due to the institution’s “strong commitment to the Jesuit ideals of serving others.” Students praised professors, describing them as truly “dedicated and experienced professionals” who are “very knowledgeable, accessible and open-minded.” Students went on to note that faculty members “encourage students to think for themselves, even if that means challenging the professors in class.” In addition, students appreciate that the school “caters to people who work full time.”

As for career prospects, the University’s Career Center is truly focused on helping students find coveted internship and employment opportunities; the center endeavors to take advantage of the Dolan School’s prime location between New York and Boston, according to the book. One student shared that Fairfield has “an extensive alumni network and great business contacts.”

Students surveyed also described peers as “friendly” and “hardworking,” while applauding the Dolan School for its small class sizes with a healthy mix of students in their 20s, 30s and 40s. With its “wide variety of students,” the MBA program is sure to be an eye-opening experience. Students were also very positive about the University having created an office for graduate students that tailors specific programs and services just for them.
