New OrgSync Platform will Promote Student Engagement

On Monday, June 16, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ officially launched our new-look platform which will be powered by .  A joint venture by the Division of Student Affairs, Information Technology Services (ITS), and the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ Student Association (FUSA), OrgSync is a web-hosted, online community that will dynamically change the way we approach student engagement by providing a ‘one-stop-shopping’ portal for students to manage their activities and involvement.

OrgSync, used by worldwide, will improve our ability to communicate information, market events, and streamline how we share information both internally and externally.  In addition, OrgSync will also serve as a valuable administrative tool that will allow us to centralize resources online, collect data, archive organizational information, and make many of our administrative processes entirely ‘paperless.’  As a university we will be able to use this information to better showcase Fairfield’s student life to prospective students via our University website.

Students from the Class of 2018 will be introduced to OrgSync as part of Orientation over the next two weeks.  Training and information sessions for returning student leaders, student organization advisors, and OrgSync admins will take place in September.

Special thanks goes to Bruce Bastien, Russ Battista, Jim Dannucci, and Lisa Nagy from ITS; Fred J. Kuo and Tyler McClain from Student Affairs; Deirdre Bennett from Student Affairs Communications; and FUSA for their work in preparing for the launch over the past few months.
