Fairfield Stags Volleyball Team Heats Up

Two-time defending MAAC champions, the Fairfield Volleyball team is heating up in their bid for a third consecutive conference title. After a slow start in the conference, the Stags have broken Marist and Rider鈥檚 conference winning streaks, defeating the previously first-place teams in back-to-back matches.

Along the way, (Sierra Madre, CA) became as Fairfield defeated Saint Peter鈥檚 earlier this month. "A thousand digs is a great accomplishment," Head Coach Todd Kress said. "The entire team is happy for Camille on such an accomplishment, and that it came during a road win."

Additionally, first-year student (Hopewell Junction, NY) has earned four MAAC Rookie-of-the-Week honors, which is one shy of the program record. Theiller recorded a career-high 21 kills against Saint Peter鈥檚 and notched her fifth double-double of the season. She is making a strong case to earn MAAC Rookie of the year honors.

(Milford, CT) is quickly closing in on becoming the 12 th player in program history to achieve 1,000 kills in her career. Stapleton was MAAC Rookie of the Year in 2011.
