Holocaust Remembrance Service April 20

天美传媒视频无限制观看鈥檚 annual Holocaust Remembrance Service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m. in Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola. The service is open to the public.

This year, the featured speaker is Stefanie Koren who escaped from the Warsaw Ghetto and participated in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising led by the Polish resistance. The service will consist of several readings, poems and prayers, including the lighting of six candles in memory of the six million Jews who died during the Holocaust.

鈥淭his annual event honors the memory of the six million Jews who died during the Holocaust at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators, with University students, faculty, administrators and staff leading us in poems and prayers of remembrance, defiance, resolve and hope," says Dr. Ellen M. Umansky, director of the Bennett Center for Judaic Studies.
