All-American jazz guitarist and vocalist, , will make a stop at 天美传媒视频无限制观看鈥檚 Quick Center for the Arts for a special holiday performance, playing seasonal favorites and hits from his latest album, Midnight McCartney .

Midnight McCartney , has its origins in Sir Paul McCartney鈥檚 GRAMMY庐-winning 2012 album, Kisses on the Bottom . Pizzarelli played guitar on 10 of the album鈥檚 14 tracks.

Pizzarelli backed McCartney at an iTunes concert at Capitol Records Studios, the GRAMMY庐 Awards and the Recording Academy鈥檚 annual MusiCares Person of the Year Gala.

Fifteen months after those gigs, McCartney wrote to Pizzarelli to suggest that the jazz guitarist consider recording some of McCartney鈥檚 lesser-known songs in a jazz style in an album of his own.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a take on songs within a style we鈥檙e comfortable with,鈥 Pizzarelli says. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot of thought given to them and they鈥檙e fun to play and challenging. We鈥檝e always been McCartney fans and I feel that the audience we play for now grew up with Paul McCartney as well. These songs are as familiar as 鈥楶olka Dots and Moonbeams.鈥欌

John Pizzarelli is an who has produced more than 20 solo albums, and appeared on albums with dozens of other recording artists. He started playing at age six, following in the tradition of his father, the legendary jazz guitarist, Bucky Pizzarelli. With over 36 years of performances under his belt, he shows no sign of slowing down.

The Boston Globe credits Pizzarelli with 鈥渞einvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz鈥 and the Seattle Times describes him as 鈥渁 rare entertainer of the old school.鈥
