Time flies – Fairfield's turning 75!

On March 17, 1942, the Rev. John J. McEleney, S.J., and six Jesuit brothers officially met to create an institutional entity for both high school and college-level education: Fairfield College of St. Robert Bellarmine. This marked the beginning of both Fairfield College Preparatory School and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´.

Since that time, Fairfield has grown from a commuter college of 303 male students to a prestigious University with over 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students. We can take pride in our rich history of stellar academics, vibrant student activities, compassionate service to others and competitive athletics.

Be on the lookout for 75th anniversary announcements and commemorative events throughout 2017!
