Student Achievement Award Nominations Due Feb. 26

During the final weeks of every academic year, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ recognizes members of the senior and graduate classes who have made an impact on the community by showing dedication to a program, activity, organization or project while committing him or herself to high academic standards. Nominations can be submitted by faculty, staff, administrators, and fellow students, and will be accepted through Friday, February 26 .

Please consider submitting a nomination for a student or students from the Class of 2016 for the St. Ignatius Loyola Medal, the William J. Kramer ’60 Humanitarian Award and the Student Achievement Awards. The formal recognition ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 19, at 4 p.m. in the Kelley Center . To submit a nomination for a senior student, visit the website. Seniors will be considered for the following awards:

  • The St. Ignatius Loyola Medal is given to a senior who has committed her/himself to high academic standards and substantial involvement in community service and/or extracurricular activities. The student maximizes opportunities for emotional, social, and intellectual growth throughout all four years at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ and exemplifies the true spirit of Jesuit education.
  • The William J. Kramer ’60 Humanitarian Award recognizes a senior who has shown a commitment to volunteerism and service to an external community activity that best exemplifies the Ignatian tradition of being men and women for and with others.
  • Student Achievement Awards recognize seniors who have shown exceptional dedication to and enhancement of a specific ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ program, activity, organization or project. The student’s commitment to this activity must have resulted in the activity attaining a new level of achievement.

The University will hold a separate ceremony and dinner for the Graduate Student Service Awards on Saturday, April 16 in the Dolan Business School Dining Room at 5 p.m . This dinner is by invitation only. During this ceremony, the University will recognize one graduate student within each academic school who has shown exceptional dedication to a program, activity, project or organization.
