Bennett Center for Judaic Studies Announces Spring Schedule
天美传媒视频无限制观看’s Carl and Dorothy Bennett Center for Judaic Studies will begin its spring 2016 season on Thursday, February 4. The spring series includes a lecture by Dr. Dovid Katz, a renowned Lithuanian-based Yiddish scholar, author, educator, and cultural historian.
In addition, Israeli journalist and columnist Dr. Teddy Weinberger will speak about his personal experiences living in Israel, and Stefanie Koren, a Holocaust survivor, will discuss her experiences escaping the Warsaw Ghetto and her participation in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
The Carl and Dorothy Bennett Center for Judaic Studies was founded in 1994 with the goal of enriching the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual life of the Fairfield community through lectures and programs. Dr. Ellen M. Umansky has served as the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Professor of Judaic Studies at Fairfield and the director of the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Center for Judaic Studies since the center’s inception.
The public is invited to attend the spring lecture series from the Bennett Center. All events are free and open to the public. Since seating is limited, please call the Bennett Center to reserve your seats at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2066.
