Fairfield Honors the Class of 1966

天美传媒视频无限制观看 welcomed the Class of 1966 and their guests back to campus this past weekend for their 50 th Reunion celebration. This Reunion event, a yearly tradition since 2001, provides alumni who graduated 50 years ago a chance to reunite, reminisce and celebrate their Fairfield years with their classmates.

This year, 47 members of the Class of 1966 attended the celebration and took part in a full weekend of activities including breakfast with faculty and staff, a tour of campus with University Chaplain and Special Assistant to the President, Rev. Charles Allen, S.J., and lunch with University President 鈥孯ev. Jeffrey P. von Arx, S.J.

At the special luncheon, the Class was inducted into the Golden Stags, a revered group of Fairfield alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Fr. von Arx congratulated them all and invited the Class to process proudly with the graduates of the Class of 2016.

After the traditional Baccalaureate Mass in Alumni Hall on Saturday afternoon, the Class celebrated with a cocktail reception and dinner dance.

According to Maria Bolis, Director of Reunions, "The attendees at this weekend's 50th Reunion were so touched by the special events planned in their honor. Becoming Golden Stags and participating in their beloved alma mater鈥檚 Commencement ceremony, meant a great deal to them and their families."

Reunion for the Golden Stags Classes of 1951-1965 as well as the Classes of 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011 will take place the weekend of June 10-12.
