Fairfield Hosts Spring Career and Internship Fair Feb. 22

天美传媒视频无限制观看’s Spring Career and Internship Fair will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the RecPlex. All students are encouraged to attend to meet employers and to see the various internship and employment opportunities available.

Over 500 students are expected to attend the Spring Career and Internship Fair, making it a valuable opportunity for students to network with employers. Over 100 representatives from organizations in accounting, finance, marketing, engineering, medical/health, consumer products, graduate programs and non-profits will be present.

Some of the organizations in attendance include Aeroteck, ALEX AND ANI, Bigelow Tea, Camuto Group, Daversa Partners, Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Half Full Brewery, Inc., Inspira Marketing, PwC LLP, Save the Children, Tauck Tours and many more.

Students planning to attend the fair should dress for success and come prepared with extra copies of their resume and knowledge about the attending organizations.

Looking for an internship or a job after graduation? Stags4Hire is where employers who want to hire Fairfield students post their jobs and internships. Stags4Hire has gone through a major facelift and wants YOU to learn how to navigate the new system seamlessly. In one-hour, a member of the Academic & Career Development Center staff will provide you with an overview on how to effectively use your account. Don't miss out!

Senior Launch Series: Budgeting & Bagels
Thursday, Feb. 16, 2 p.m. BCC 206

Budgeting & Bagels is an event dedicated to seniors who want to learn more about budgeting with "Life after Fairfield." We have an expert coming in to talk about the topic, and will stay after for one-hour to answer individual questions about finances and budgeting.

A workshop focusing on effective, strong note-taking skills. In order to absorb and apply ideas presented in class, students must learn note-taking techniques that enhance material and develop conceptual understanding. In this one-hour workshop, students will learn to record, organize and review information from class lectures and textbooks. Note-taking is an essential component to improving and progressing study habits that will assist in thoroughly learning course material.

Networking 101 Workshop
Tuesday, Feb. 28, 3:30 p.m. Kelley Center Presentation Room

Sometimes the hardest part about networking is not setting up the meeting or connecting with the right person, it’s the actual "Networking" part. In this workshop, we will give tips on how to navigate Career Fairs, alumni events and panels; how to break into/out of conversations; and more.

Student Athlete Career Night
Tuesday, Feb. 28, 7 p.m. Kelley Center Presentation Room

STUDENT ATHLETES ONLY

The Spring 2017 Student Athlete Career Night is going to be focused on connecting Student Athletes to young alumni who have recently navigated the job search process. The evening will include a panel comprised of former Stags from various fields focused on transitioning out of athletics and into the real world. There will also be time allotted for students to ask questions and network with panelists.
