Dolan School Welcomes Investor-in-Residence, Phillip Cagnassola ’92

The Dolan School is pleased to announce Phillip J. Cagnassola as the School’s first Investor-in-Residence. Cagnassola is a successful business executive and investor, and founder of Frasier Capital which provides human and financial capital to small private companies.

Prior to Frasier Capital, Cagnassola was a general partner for Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm with a focus on middle-market manufacturing, distribution and service businesses. He also served as vice president of Business Planning at Walker Digital, an intellectual “think tank” that applies technological solutions to business problems. Additionally, Cagnassola was CFO/COO of PC Flowers and Gifts, and prior to that, worked at GE-Capital in the Finance Group as the manager of International Partnerships. Cagnassola’s earlier positions include work as a CPA at Ernst and Young and at Suplee, Clooney & Company.

“I am honored to be Fairfield’s inaugural Investor-in-Residence at the Dolan School,” said Cagnassola. “Fusing the passion and optimism that is the hallmark of the entrepreneurial program with the realism it takes to develop a sound intellectual framework capable of attracting capital is an important part of developing Fairfield’s students.”

In his role as Investor-in-Residence Cagnassola will work with student StartUp teams and FUEL participants on understanding the critical view of the investor in helping their businesses to succeed.
