Grammy-nominated Organist Cameron Carpenter at the Quick, Jan. 28.

鈥孋ameron C arpenter, using will use the International Touring Organ 鈥 a monumental digital organ of his own design聽 鈥 when he performs at the Quick Center on Saturday, January 28, 2017.

Carpenter鈥檚 International Touring Organ was officially introduced with two Lincoln Center concerts in March 2014 and it is a sight 鈥 and sound 鈥 to behold. The organ is comprised of a modular five-keyboard console; a processing system that uses samples from several organs that have been important to Cameron鈥檚 artistic development; and an impressive and innovative concert audio system capable of filling the largest concert halls with sound.

Carpenter鈥檚 Sony Music debut album If You Could Read My Mind entered Billboard's Traditional Classical chart at No. 1 on its US release and made Carpenter the first solo organist ever nominated for a Grammy Award for a solo album.聽 His repertoire ranges from the complete works of J.S. Bach and C茅sar Franck, to hundreds of transcriptions of non-organ works, original compositions and collaborations with jazz and pop artists.

The Los Angeles Times touts:聽 鈥淐arpenter is one of the rare musicians who changes the game of his instrument鈥 He is a smasher of cultural and classical music taboos. He is technically the most accomplished organist I have ever witnessed鈥 And, most important of all, the most musical.鈥

Carpenter will perform at the Quick Center for the Arts on the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 campus on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at
