Countdown to Fairfield Half Marathon, June 25 — Come Cheer or Run with Us!
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ is once again a proud sponsor of the taking place on Saturday, June 24 (5K) and Sunday, June 25 (Half). Last year's race included the where the University's very own Lucas the Stag challenged runners to complete both the Half Marathon and the 5K, which requires running 16.3 miles in 24 hours. There were over 40 registered ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ runners who participated in the Lucas Challenge, and over 360 total ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ affiliates who raced in 2016.
This year, there is even more to be excited about as the University will also serve as the title sponsor for the new ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ Lil’ Stags Kids Fun Run, a half-mile race for children ages 4-12, which will take place on Saturday, June 24.
Cheer Station Details
Are you supporting someone running in the Fairfield Half Marathon, June 25? Make sure to join Lucas and other members of the Stag family during the race at our ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ cheer station filled with music, snacks, and spirit. Wear your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ gear and be ready to cheer!
When: Sunday, June 25 at 8:15 a.m.
Where: 321 Puritan Road, Fairfield, CT 06890 (At the corner of Puritan Road and Birch Road)
Directions: Please park at the Fairfield YMCA located at 841 Old Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. You have the option to take a shuttle at 7:45 a.m. from this location or you can walk (10 minutes) to our cheer station at any point. Refer to the map below.

Students, alumni, family members, friends, or faculty/staff of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ interested in running in either the half marathon or the 5K can receive a $5 discount by using the code FAIRFIELDU2017 upon . Members of the Fairfield Prep community are also able to receive a $5 discount by using the code PREP2017.
Children (ages 4-12) of Fairfield town residents, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ alumni, and University faculty/staff can run the Lil' Stags Kids Fun Run complimentary of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ by registering using the code FAIRFIELDKIDS.
