Fairfield Among Top Ranked Nationally in Annual College Factual Rankings

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ included in Top 15% of Schools for "Students From Outside the USA," Top 20 Nursing Programs Nationwide, and Top 10 Marketing Programs in the US.

In College Factual’s recently released annual rankings, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ was named among the Top 15% of schools in the country, and Top 5 in Connecticut, for students from outside the U.S. Fairfield was among those recognized for "providing an excellent education opportunity to international students," and "a strong and growing community of international students.”

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ also received over a dozen top tier rankings. Nationally overall, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ is among the top 10% of all universities and Top 15 Roman Catholic universities.

The Dolan School of Business dominated the rankings, with programs in Business Administration and Marketing in the Top 5%, Finance in the Top 10%, and Management Information Systems in the Top 15%, respectively. The Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies also received high national rankings, making the Top 5% of all nursing programs in the country.

Academics aren’t the only programs that made the rankings—the University was recognized as a “Top 20 School for Division 1 Women’s Volleyball Scholars Nationwide.”

“Our academic and athletic programs are certainly propelling and positioning ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ as the modern, Jesuit institution,” said Christine Siegel, PhD, interim provost and associate vice president for academic affairs. “We focus on a holistic approach to the student experience and these rankings reflect our University’s success.”

The rankings from College Factua l follow a string of recent accolades for ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´. In U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ placed third in the Northern Region category for Master’s Degree Granting Institutions, making it the only Connecticut institution in that category ranked within the Top 10. Additionally, Fairfield was recognized among the best nationally for service learning.
