9/11 Memorial Mass, September 11

天美传媒视频无限制观看's 9/11 Memorial

Please join us on Monday, September 11 during the 16th annual 9/11 Memorial Mass at 12:10 p.m. at the Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives due to the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001. This day will always hold a particular significance for the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 family, as the lives of 14 alumni, and a parent of a student, were taken.

“For a relatively small University, like Fairfield, to lose a parent and 14 of its alumni on one September morning leaves a deep impression of sadness and remorse. Especially since most of those 14 alumni were recent graduates, their vitality and optimism are remembered by many,” explained Rev. Charles Allen, S.J., University Chaplain and special assistant to the President. “We come together on September 11 to remember them now, 16 years later, because we want to show to ourselves and their families that we do not quickly forget those who are most important to us, especially those who died in such a tragic and meaningless way.”

In addition to lost alumni, the Memorial Mass will also honor all of those lost due to the terror attacks at the World Trade Center and in Washington D.C., and to remember the first responders to those events, and those involved who still serve our community.

We hope you can join us for the 9/11 Memorial Mass. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 254-4280.
