The 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Art Museum announces a new monthly series of gallery conversations, Art in Focus, in the museum鈥檚 Bellarmine Hall Galleries on the campus of 天美传媒视频无限制观看.
During each event in the series, one painting, print, or sculpture in the museum’s collection will take center stage for an hour’s worth of close looking and informal discussion, led by Curator of Education, Michelle DiMarzo, PhD.
On September 28, Art in Focus examined Carlo Maratta’s Bacchus and Ariadne (ca. 1680), on loan from a private collection. In the scene, drawn from Greco-Roman mythology, Maratta depicted the moment of encounter between Ariadne, a beautiful princess abandoned by her lover, and Bacchus, the god of wine, fertility, and madness.
