PLAG Tug of War Charity Competition and FUSA End of Year Celebration, May 1

Students will face off against each other in the first-annual 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Tug of War Charity Competition for Play Like a Girl Fairfield.

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 1 from 1 – 4 p.m. on the lawn of the John A. Barone Campus Center.

PLAG is a national nonprofit organization, whose focus is to inspire girls to live a happier, healthier, and more active lifestyle by promoting physical activity as a path to health and success. On the collegiate level, PLAG chapters are groups of young women who come together to achieve their fitness goals and learn how to live a healthy lifestyle, while helping others within the community to do the same.

The Tug of War event will include teams of five players, and each team must raise $20 to use as a donation. All proceeds will go to establishing after-school sports programs for children living in impoverished areas.

“I think we’ve all been lucky enough to have the opportunity to participate in at least one sport growing up,” said Tory Asmus '18, PLAG Fairfield’s founder, “but can you imagine not having any program to participate in? By donating to our cause you help create sports and fitness programs in impoverished areas and bring back play.”

The 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Student Association (FUSA) is partnering with PLAG’s Tug of War Competition as part of their End of the Year event. The day will include a DJ, food trucks, a moon bounce, dunk tank, and prizes, with the ultimate prize being a $75 gift card to Colony Grill for a team dinner.
