Star-Studded NT Live Broadcasts Continue Through 2018 Spring Season at Quick Center

Rory Kinnear kicks off the Spring 2018 NT Live season on January 18

NT Live is the London National Theatre鈥檚 groundbreaking project to make world-class theatrical productions accessible through streaming or digital download to hundreds of venues globally, including 天美传媒视频无限制观看鈥檚 Quick Center for the Arts.

The Spring 2018 NT Live season kicks off at the Quick on Thursday, January 18 with Rory Kinnear ( Threepenny Opera, Othello ) starring in Richard Bean and Clive Coleman's new comedy, Young Marx . Set in 1850, the play opens with Europe’s most feared terrorist hiding on Dean Street in Soho. Creditors, spies, rival revolutionary factions, and prospective seducers of his beautiful wife all circle like vultures. With his writing blocked, his marriage dying, his friend Engels in despair at his wasted genius, his only hope is a job on the railway. But there’s still no one in the capital who can show you a better night on the town than Karl Heinrich Marx.

Broadcast live from The Bridge Theatre, London, this production is directed by Nicholas Hytner and reunites the creative team behind the Broadway and West End hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors.

Next up is Tennessee Williams' twentieth century masterpiece Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Tuesday, March 6 .  Played in a strictly limited season in London's West End in 2017, director Benedict Andrews' "thrilling revival" ( New York Times ) stars Sienna Miller ( American Sniper ) alongside Jack O'Connell and Colm Meaney.

On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gathers at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy's birthday. The scorching heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. Brick and Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real - and which will win out?

On Thursday, May 3 , the season turns to Shakespeare with a star-studded Julius Caesar , featuring David Calder (The Lost City of Z) as Caesar and David Morrissey ( The Walking Dead ) as Mark Antony. Nicholas Hytner’s production will thrust audiences into the street party that greets Caesar’s return, the congress that witnesses his murder, the rally that assembles for his funeral, and the chaos that explodes in its wake.

The Spring 2018 NT Live season will conclude on Thursday, May 17 with Shakespeare’s most intense and terrifying tragedy, Macbeth .  In the ruined aftermath of a bloody civil war, the Macbeths ruthlessly fight to survive, propelled towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness. Directed by Rufus Norris ( The Threepenny Opera , London Road ), this production features Rory Kinnear in the titular role and Anne-Marie Duff ( Oil, Suffragette ) as Lady Macbeth.

Each NT Live production will have two Quick Center screenings on the dates specified: one at 2 p.m. and another at 7 p.m. Tickets for reserved seats are $25, $20 for senior citizens, $10 for children and students, and $20 for Quick Members.
