Annual rankings have placed Fairfield among the "Top 100 Private Universities" in the nation, and the "Top 10 Most Transformative Universities." The Princeton Review again recognized Fairfield as a top-tier school — among the best in the Northeastern region, and in the top 10 for "Best Quality of Life," the top 20 for "Happiest Students," and one of the "Colleges That Pay You Back." Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges listed Fairfield at #145.
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ has once again been named among the best schools in the nation by Time’s Money magazine, The Princeton Review and Forbes. Money magazine’s annual “Best Colleges for Your Money” places Fairfield among the top 100 private universities in the country.
Fairfield’s top 10 for "Most Transformative Colleges," recognizes the institution’s commitment to holistic formation, and places Fairfield as the highest-ranking Jesuit university in that category. The "Most Transformative Colleges" were ranked according to Money magazine’s “exclusive value-added scores for graduation rates, earnings, and student loan repayment.”
In its 11th year, Forbes’ focuses on “the direct benefits schools provide their graduates." Especially at a time when Americans owe more than $1 trillion in student loan debt, Forbes values “outputs” rather than “inputs.” Fairfield ranked #145 among U.S. colleges and universities, up three spots from the 2017 list. Alumni salaries, retention and graduation rates, debt after graduation, and individual success -- including academic and career accolades -- were considered in how Forbes selected and weighted measures for the list.
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ is once The Princeton Review’s annual “Best 384 Colleges,” as well as in the top 10 schools — and the only Connecticut school in the top 10 — where students are considered to have the "Best Quality of Life." The University is found in the top 20 schools — and is the top school in Connecticut in the top 20 — to have the "Happiest Students," and is also among the "Best Northeastern Schools" and the "Colleges That Pay You Back."
In choosing schools for the "Colleges That Pay You Back" list, The Princeton Review used data collected between the fall of 2016 and the fall of 2017, from their institutional and student surveys, and from on alumni career and salary statistics.
According to The Princeton Review’s Editor-in-Chief Robert Franek, the top 384 schools are chosen primarily on “outstanding academics” and are highly recommended by the publication. The best regional schools, in which ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ is among the best in the Northeastern region, are also considered to be “academically outstanding.” Strong institutional and student survey data determined the rankings for "Colleges That Pay You Back," which include academic rigor, affordability, and career outcomes for graduates.
