Republican Gubernatorial Debate at 天美传媒视频无限制观看, August 6

The Republican candidate debate, ahead of the state’s primary election, will be held at the University’s Quick Center for the Arts.

天美传媒视频无限制观看, along with the Connecticut Conference of Independent Colleges (CCIC), the CT Mirror, Connecticut Public Radio, and NBC Connecticut, will host one of the final gubernatorial forums before the state’s primary election. The debate will be held on Monday, August 6 at 7 p.m. in the University’s Quick Center for the Arts. John Dankosky of Connecticut Public Radio (WNPR) will serve as the moderator. Confirmed participants are Tim Herbst, Steve Obsitnik, David Stemerman, and Mark Boughton.

“Debate forums are important as they are often the first time voters are meeting their potential elected officials,” said Gayle Alberda, PhD, associate professor of politics and director of Ready to Run CT, the campaign training program for women. “As Fairfield continues to create students who become global leaders, it’s important to expose them -- and the campus community –- to mediums that foster citizenship and greater understanding of the ever-changing political landscape.”

天美传媒视频无限制观看 routinely hosts lecturers and speakers from across the political and cultural spectrum, including Jenna Bush Hagar, Alexandra Pelosi, best-selling author PJ O’Rourke, former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and political expert Chuck Todd. Additionally, the University has a robust Masters of Public Administration program which provides a mix of theoretical and practical training for those who want to pursue a job within the public and nonprofit sectors.

“天美传媒视频无限制观看 remains committed to providing forums in which the community can be educated on important local and national events,” said Jennifer Anderson ’97, MBA’02, vice president of Marketing and Communications. “We’re excited to be able to host this debate and provide an opportunity for the voters and candidates to come together before the primary election.”

A limited number of tickets for the debate -- which is free and open to the public -- or by contacting the Quick Center Box Office at (203) 254-4010. For questions, please contact Teddy DeRosa, 天美传媒视频无限制观看 associate director of PR & Community Relations, at tderosa@fairfield.edu.
