The Collegiate Advertising Awards program honors marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in all forms of advertising specific to higher education products and services.
...being recognized as the best nationally among many other outstanding advertising campaigns, is a true honor.

For commuters and travelers along the busy I-95 highway, seeing billboards touting ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´’s national rankings and programs -- each adorned with a smiling student or student-athlete -- is nothing new. Perhaps it’s even a friendly reminder of being in Stag Country.
And now, recognition is going beyond just the I-95 corridor. Those billboards, and other advertising developed by the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ Marketing and Communications Department, are now officially Collegiate Advertising Awards gold and silver medal-winners.
The University’s 2017 advertising campaign was awarded a gold medal for a general branding billboard for the Dolan School of Business, as well as silver medals for its athletics radio promotions in the radio category, and newspaper wraps in the newspaper ad category.
The campaigns were developed by Marketing and Communications with the New Haven-based advertising firm, The Silverman Group. The print and billboard campaigns feature strong black and white photography, and simple direct messaging that highlights the University’s unique programs and national standing.
“The goal of our Marketing and Communications Department is to create broad-based awareness of our innovative programs, exceptional faculty, strong student outcomes and ideal location,” said Jennifer Anderson ’97, MBA’02, vice president of Marketing and Communications. “That we were able to do so in such a creative way, being recognized as the best nationally among many other outstanding advertising campaigns, is a true honor.”
The Collegiate Advertising Awards program is an elite national program created to acknowledge excellence in all forms of advertising, marketing and promotion specific to higher education products and services.
The Collegiate Advertising Awards allows the efforts of marketing and advertising departments to compete against similarly sized colleges, universities, and other educational organizations from across the nation. A wide range of categories cover virtually all possible entries from branding, social media, recruiting, and fund-raising, to multi-media campaigns, educational fairs, blogs, and much more.
