The weekend’s events begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 with the 5K race, followed by the Lil’ Stags Kids Fun Run at 9 a.m. Then on Sunday, June 3, the Half Marathon starts at 8 a.m., followed by a post-race beach party and awards ceremony.
Those who take on the – a total of 16.2 miles in 24 hours – will receive an exclusive hat, a medal, a one-of-a-kind race bib, and a bottle of Henkell sparkling wine.
Ready to ? Students, alumni, family members, friends, and faculty & staff of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ can use the code STAG5K for $5 off of the 5K registration fee, or use STAGHALF for $10 off the half marathon or Lucas Challenge registration fee. Children ages 4-12 of Fairfield town residents, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ alumni, and University faculty/staff can run the Lil' Stags Kids Fun Run for FREE, compliments of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´, by registering with the code FAIRFIELDKIDS . For members of the Fairfield Prep community, using the code PREP2018 will earn you $5 off any race. Also back this year for the Half Marathon is the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´ Cheer Station , located towards the finish line on Puritan Road. The Fairfield Half Marathon race tradition started in 1981 with just 200 runners, and has become one of the premier running events in the United States. Accolades for the race include being two-time host of the U.S. Women’s National Half Marathon Championship, three-time host of the National Masters’ Half Marathon Championship, and being routinely selected as one of the country’s top road races by Runner’s World magazine.
