Kids' Day Out

Free Admission for All Fans as the Stags Tip Off With Monmouth at 11 a.m.

The Fairfield women’s basketball team will welcome elementary school students and the local community to George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall on Thursday, Jan. 9 for its annual Kids’ Day Out. Admission is free for all fans, as the Stags tip off with Monmouth in MAAC action at 11 a.m. Last year’s event drew a record crowd of 2,244 fans.

Kids’ Day Out is a conference-wide initiative that brings local students to a women’s basketball game and introduces them to a university campus environment. In addition to seeing the Stags in action, teachers will incorporate the game into their lessons in math, English, and other subjects, and select students will have the opportunity to join the postgame press conference with Head Coach Joe Frager and the Stags.

Students will also participate in a halftime health and fitness activity with Fairfield’s Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Performance Michael Harris and his staff.
