Big news is coming out of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÊÓƵÎÞÏÞÖƹۿ´’s Office of Undergraduate Admission. At the start of the University’s spring semester, more than 12,200 applications have already been submitted for placement in the Class of 2023, marking the largest application pool to date in Fairfield’s 77-year history, up 846 over last year’s record.

“We are so excited by the size, quality, and geographic diversity of this year’s applicant pool. This strong, eight percent increase in application activity is due to all of the positive momentum happening on campus,” said Vice President for Enrollment Management Corry Unis. “We look forward to shaping a class that will excel academically and contribute to the Fairfield community.”

In addition to growing in number, this year’s applicants came from 43 states, plus Washington, DC and Puerto Rico, as well as a record 68 international countries.

Before the Admitted Students Open Houses are held on April 6 and April 14, members of the Class of 2023 will also be invited to visit campus for class-specific tours that will be held Mondays and Fridays at 11:45 a.m., and will run from March 1 through Apr. 29. Admitted students will also have the opportunity to participate in the University’s “Shadow a Stag” program, during which each admitted student will be paired with a current student who will take them to class, introduce them to faculty and answer their questions over lunch. "Shadow a Stag" begins Thursday, Feb. 21 and runs through Tuesday, Apr. 30.
