Andres Carrano, PhD, dean of the School of Engineering, will host an online discussion with FBI Supervisory Special Agent Conor Phoenix.
Tune in at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 for a continuation of the School of Engineering Virtual Dean’s Series, as Supervisory Special Agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Conor Phoenix joins School of Engineering Dean Andres Leonardo Carrano, PhD, to discuss the pervasive nature of cybercrime.
During this lunchtime webinar, Dr. Carrano and Agent Phoenix will discuss trends being observed worldwide relative to security breaches, the "bad actors" involved, and measures you can take to protect yourself. They will also talk about the skills needed for a career in cybersecurity and the associated forecast for employment, specifically as they relate to 天美传媒视频无限制观看's cybersecurity program and the recently opened Cybersecurity Lab on campus.
“Not everybody on the web has good intentions,” said Dr. Carrano. “Fortunately, there are many ethical and moral individuals who have acquired or are gaining the cyber skills necessary to protect the greater community from potential threats or attacks.”
