天美传媒视频无限制观看’s Quick Center will present the talented and highly successful piano duo Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi for a jazz-inspired Sunday afternoon.

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at 天美传媒视频无限制观看 will present Classic Jazz on Two Pianos with acclaimed husband and wife duo Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi on Sunday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. With their impeccable technique and attunement to both each other and the music they play, it is no wonder this pair has seen much success.

Tracing their origins back to St. Louis, Missouri (Trick) and Milan, Italy (Alderighi) the couple shares an eclectic music taste and a deep understanding of their craft. Trick is a leading exponent of the stride piano style and Alderighi is one of Italy’s foremost jazz pianists.Three years after meeting at a piano festival in Switzerland in 2008, they began to collaborate on a four-hands piano project dedicated to jazz. Despite the rarity of four-hands duets in the jazz genre, Trick and Alderighi explored this method on their first two albums, Two for One (2012) and Sentimental Journey (2014). Their latest project is a double album, I Love Errol, I Love James P. (2020).

Trick and Alderighi have played for audiences at jazz clubs and festivals around the world, including in Japan, London, Edinburgh, and Switzerland. Their dedication to jazz is as strong as their passion and desire to share the rich history behind the music they play. They offer lectures, concert lessons, and master classes to students of all ages. As part of the Quick’s Arts For All education program, the artists will lead classes and workshops for local 6th through 12th  grade Bridgeport students on Monday, February 28.

While Trick and Alderighi are pioneers in the use of four-hands jazz piano, the duo will perform on two keyboards rather than one in their Quick Center appearance, highlighting their individual virtuosities. They plan to offer an afternoon of fresh takes on the classics — all the way from the stride piano and ragtime, to familiar favorites of the Swing Era and the golden age of Broadway.

Classic Jazz on Two Pianos with Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi will take place on February 27 at 3 p.m. This program is sponsored by WSHU, WPKN, and the Carl Marks Foundation. This event is $15 for Quick Members, and $30 for non-members. To become a Quick Center Member today, visit . or call the box office at 203-254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396.
