Caroline Timmerman '22 and Rev. Dious Joseph were recognized for their scholarly work and use of library resources.
Last week the DiMenna-Nyselius Library celebrated the winners of the annual Library Research Prize. Each year the library recognizes one undergraduate and one graduate student for their scholarly work and use of library resources. Caroline Timmerman '22 was selected as the Undergraduate Library Research Prizewinner and Rev. Dious Joseph was selected as the Graduate Library Research Prizewinner. Each were awarded $1,000 and recognized at a reception at the library on May 3, 2022. The committee also presented two honorable mentions and $250 to Molly Lamendola '22 and Nikki Koval '22.
Timmerman, an international studies major with an anthropology minor, was recognized for her paper, “The Language of Discrimination: Accentism and Multicultural London English."
Joseph, who will graduate with a Master of Arts in communication, was recognized for his research project, titled “Anointing of the Sick: A Form of Final Conversation From a Priest's Perspective.”
