Stags Vote: Election 2024 Political Discussions & Programs

Join the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Community this fall for engaging events, candidate discussions, and a mock electoral experience to promote civic involvement ahead of Election 2024.

Ahead of the upcoming elections, 天美传媒视频无限制观看's initiative aims to encourage civic engagement among campus and community members. Students and members of the broader community are invited to take part in the following events and programs: 

Candidate Forum: Oct. 9 | 6:30 p.m.
The Fairfield community is invited to the Dogwood Room of the Barone Campus Center, for a featuring 28th State Senate seat candidates and State Representative candidates for the 132nd, 133rd, and 134th districts. This panel will serve as an opportunity for candidates to share their platforms and address key issues facing the State of Connecticut.

Mark Sudol & Gayle Alberda, PhD: Oct. 16 | 6 p.m.
Campus Connect: "Election 2024: Key Insights and Analysis"
Fairfield's monthly Campus Connect series at the downtown 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Store will feature Mark Sudol, Emmy and Murrow Award-winning journalist and Power & Politics anchor at News12 Connecticut, and Gayle Alberda, PhD, associate professor of politics and director of Fairfield's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. Open VISIONS Forum: "Info, Insights, and Inquiring Questions: The Presidential Election 2024"
The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will host renowned political commentators  for a lively exchange about the current electoral climate, just two weeks before Election Day 2024. Alyssa Farah Griffin is an American political strategist and television personality who served as White House director of strategic communications and assistant to former President Trump. Molly Jong-Fast is an American writer, journalist, author, political commentator, and podcaster. She is a special correspondent for Vanity Fair and host of the podcast Fast Politics with Molly Jong-Fast. Tickets are available at

Early Voting Site: 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Media Center | Beginning Oct. 21
Daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with extended hours on October 29 and 31 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To enhance accessibility to the electoral process, Fairfield's Media Center on the North Benson campus will serve as an Early Voting site for the Town of Fairfield. Beginning Oct. 21, students and faculty will be able to register to vote and cast their ballots on campus.

Campus Election Simulation for Students: Begins Next Week
A mock electoral college, designed to educate the campus community about the importance of civic engagement, will offer 天美传媒视频无限制观看 residence halls an opportunity to vote on one of three initiatives aimed at enhancing campus life, to be implemented in 2025:

  • Should additional treadmills replace ellipticals at the RecPlex?
  • Should Peet’s Café remain on campus or be replaced with a Dunkin or a Starbucks?
  • Should a healthy food vending machine be installed in the RecPlex lobby?
