Sharon Rusconi of Braintree, Mass., who graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from 天美传媒视频无限制观看 in May, has been awarded a teaching assistantship in France, by the Centre International D'Etudes Pedagodiques (International Center for Pedagogical Studies).
A double major in International Studies and French, Sharon had studied French for six years before entering Fairfield. While continuing her French language studies, she explored the history and political structure France as well as its culture, including contemporary French theatre. For a seminar class on "Haiti Alive," she produced research papers on the country's economic crisis and deforestation and its primary health care.
Sharon taught French at Fairfield College Preparatory School during an internship in her junior year and was the recipient of the Crouteau Scholarship in French.
At Fairfield, Sharon has been a volunteer for Head Start, a program for inner-city preschool children, Hunger Cleanup and the Sunshine Kids, an organization for youngsters whose families have been impacted by AIDS. She is a member of Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Foreign Language Honor Society.
A graduate of Braintree High School where she was a member of both the concert and jazz bands, Sharon has studied flute for eight years. She plans to incorporate American music into her teaching in France.
