Trumpeter Tony Kadleck, is guest artist with 天美传媒视频无限制观看's Jazz Ensemble

Image: Tony Kadleck One of the most sought-after trumpet players in the New York area, Tony Kadleck, will be the guest artist at the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Jazz Ensemble's concert for two shows on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the university's Lawrence Wien Experimental Theatre in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.

Kadleck, a graduate of Manhattan School of Music, toured with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Blood, Sweat and Tears, and recorded with Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Celine Dion. He has played live concerts with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Buddy Rich Band, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Isaac Hayes and, most recently, Steely Dan.

A composer, Kadleck loves writing music. His debut CD "Extended Outlook" features eight of his original works. He is currently a member of several music organizations including the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra, the New York Pops and Don Sebesky's Big Band.

The program will showcase compositions by Jazz Ensemble musicians including two selections by student guitarist Eric Donnelly, one of which is titled "Pat Jones;" "Tail of a Tale," by student violinist Michael Capriotti;" and "Late Night," by student bassist Larry Valliere. Also featured will be "Rio de Boca," a composition by Brian Torff, music program director at 天美传媒视频无限制观看.

In addition to the concert, Tony Kadleck will give a trumpet master class on Tuesday, April 17, at 3 p.m. for students at 天美传媒视频无限制观看. Brian Torff said, "Tony is one of the finest jazz trumpet players on the New York scene today as well as a gifted composer and music educator. We are delighted to have him work and perform with our students."
