The Princeton Review has named 天美传媒视频无限制观看's Charles F. Dolan School of Business one of the best business schools. "Best 290 Business Schools - 2008 edition" (Random House/Princeton Review) hit bookstores today, and it includes the opinions of students at what the Princeton Review has found to be the best Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)-accredited Master of Business Administration programs in the world. This is the third year in a row the Dolan School has been part of the prestigious annual publication of graduate business programs.
The Princeton Review, a New York City-based education services company, based the profiles of schools on candid surveys of business school students conducted during the past three academic years. The 80-question survey asked students about their school's academics, student body and campus life, themselves and their career plans.
Norm Solomon, Ph.D., dean of the Dolan School, said the inclusion in the publication is exceptionally gratifying because the review is based on the opinions of Dolan Students. "It gives me great satisfaction to see that the overwhelming viewpoint of our students is that they are pleased with the Dolan School's faculty, curriculum and facilities."
Students, who said the coursework was both current and interesting, credited the Dolan School with having an array of academic selling points, including "very accessible and helpful faculty" and "a fine finance program." Students observed how "Jesuit tenets" guide instruction, and they noted "professors' enthusiasm contributes a lot to the learning experience." They also were in agreement that classmates comprise a "good peer network."
Dana Wilkie, Ed. D., assistant dean and director of Graduate Programs, said that she was pleased to see that professors and alumni were regarded as valuable resources for those seeking internships and pursuing careers.
Fairfield's close proximity to the headquarters of nearly 50 Fortune 500 companies was also mentioned as an asset. The Dolan School works with many of these headquarters of foreign multinationals to provide experiential learning opportunities.
Students emphasized that the Dolan School has classrooms equipped with all the up-to-date teaching technologies, and evening and weekend courses are convenient for the many working professionals enrolled in part-time programs.
Robert Franek, vice president and publisher of the Princeton Review, said, "We compile our ranking lists in multiple categories based on what students report to us about their schools to help applicants decide which of these academically outstanding schools is best for them."
Graduate programs in the Dolan School include the MBA program, and master's degree programs in accounting, finance, and taxation, as well as certificate programs for advanced study.
