returns with "Swashbuckling Heroes." Some radio heroes were tough guys who never missed a chance to fight; some were good role models who always used proper grammar. All were fearless in the face of danger and battled sinister villains every week. Exciting adventures the whole family can enjoy, from the Old West to the future. Tickets are $20.

The Acting Company
performs "Moby Dick Rehearsed," Orson Welles' stage adaptation of the classic novel by Herman Melville.
There is a 10 a.m.
ArtsBound
performance for children, grades 5 and up.
Casey Biggs directs Welles' dramatic adaptation of Melville's classic story. Welles drew a parallel between King Lear and Captain Ahab and set the action around a troupe of actors that abandon rehearsal of "King Lear" to recreate another unforgiving, vengeance-obsessed character of the same emotional stripe, Captain Ahab. Tickets for the ArtsBound performance are $7; the evening performance tickets are $30 for adults.

The Emperor's New Clothes: Contemporary Paintings and Drawings by Donald Vaccino
. This exhibition features extraordinary artworks that are done from memory, imagination, observation or a combination of the three. They do not conform to usual expectations in that apparently different styles co-exist. "They are done in the spirit in which a musician practices with the intent of keeping my eye and hand in shape," explains Vaccino. Admission to the gallery is free. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 12-4 p.m. Closed Monday.
