天美传媒视频无限制观看's Regina A. has received a matching grant of $14,761 from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism, a state agency.
Deborah Sommers, director of programming for the Quick Center expressed her gratitude for the Commission's continued recognition stating, "This grant is absolutely critical for the realization of the Quick Center's continuing commitment to vibrant programming, including the presentation of dance and diverse presentations of world cultural events. This year's grant by the Commission will make it possible to bring internationally known world music artists and performers to our stages."
State grants are awarded through a competitive process.聽 This grant signifies that the Quick Center for the Arts provides a high level of quality in its programs, community service and administrative ability.
State Representative Thomas J. Drew, who is a Fairfield resident, lauded the accomplishments of the Quick Center saying, "The 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Quick Center for the Arts is a marvelous and valuable asset to Fairfield and Connecticut. It provides mutual support and synergy for Fairfield's growing downtown arts center. This is exactly the type of organization and activity the public sector should be actively supporting. Executive Director Tom Zingarelli noted, "Each year 100,000 people visit the Quick Center and with this grant at least 7,500 of them will enjoy a unique, enlightening and exciting experience of a different culture."
As a direct result of the grant, the coming season will feature the traditional Zulu harmonies of Ladysmith Black Mambazo from South Africa, the National Acrobats of China, the Portuguese fado singer, Mariza, and the passionate and intricate flamenco performances of Noche Flamenca among other World Arts and Music performances. In addition, the Dance Program will feature the critically acclaimed, cutting-edge dance company, Complexions, as well as the enthusiastic contemporary dance of New York City's Parsons Dance Company and modern dance from Chicago's Hubbard Street Dance Company.
