"Winnie the Pooh" next Young Audience Sunday Series at the Quick Center for the Arts

"...Pooh" lovers awake! On Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., 天美传媒视频无限制观看's Quick Center for the Arts presents "Winnie the Pooh," a Two Beans Production of the classic favorite. The colorful 60-minute musical, features four actors and is written to delight children from grades pre-K-4. It is distributed through Theatreworks/USA. In addition, an ArtsBound Outreach performance of "Winnie the Pooh" will be presented on Monday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. The ArtsBound Series is co-sponsored by the Herman Goldman Foundation and the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation.

Generations of children have grown up with A. A. Milne's stories about Christopher Robin and his toy animals. Now, all the heart, wisdom and fun of the classic tales come to life in this entertaining production.

As usual, it's a very busy day for Pooh in the Hundred Acre Wood! He has to complete his stoutness exercizes, catch a Heffalump with Piglet, and also search for Eeyore's missing tail! Meanwhile, Rabbit needs assistance in an elaborate plan to play a trick on Kanga and baby Roo, and Owl dispenses some bird-brained advice. All the while, everyone's favorite bear is hungry, and searches for a little smackeral of honey....

The Two Beans Productions' "Winnie the Pooh" began touring in fall 2007. A faithful dramatization of A.A. Milne's story, this "Pooh" was written by Le Clanch茅 du Rand, with music by Allan J. Friedman, lyrics by A.A. Milne and Kristin Sergel and additional lyrics by du Rand. Rob Barron, artistic director of Two Beans Productions, directs the show. Barron has a long association as a director with Theatreworks/USA and has delighted children with "Charlotte's Web," "Ramona Quimby" and "Romeo & Juliet." This production features choreography by Cynthia Thole. Costume designs are by Anne-Marie Wright, with scenic design by Mark Delancey.
