Aquila Theatre's The Comedy of Errors comes to 天美传媒视频无限制观看's Quick Center for the Arts November 14

"No one who sees the rousing production by the excellent Aquila Theatre will forget a whit of it." The New York Times

The Aquila Theatre has a mission and it involves you! That declaration employs a dual meaning: you, the audience is part of the performance; and - when an audience sees an Aquila show, it can count on being involved. On Friday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m., 天美传媒视频无限制观看's Quick Center for the Arts presents the Aquila Theatre's production of "The Comedy of Errors," one of Shakespeare's most delightful comedies centering on two sets of twins, mistaken identities, assumed personas, hilarious machinations and whimsical family ties. Earlier that same day at 10 a.m., the company will perform the show for students in grades 5-12 as part of the ArtsBound outreach series. The ArtsBound program is co sponsored by the Herman Goldman Foundation and the Fairfield County Community Foundation.

"The Comedy of Errors" has been a massive hit for Aquila Theatre since its first incarnation in New York in 2000. Since then, this high-powered, vibrant production has delighted audiences at the La Jolla Playhouse, the LA Shakespeare Festival, European Shakespeare festivals and coast-to-coast in the United States. It's back now, even newer and more improved.

The shrewd and inventive plot relates the story of two pairs of identical twins in the same household separated by a devastating shipwreck. But as this riotous comedy unfolds, all is not what it seems. Shakespeare's remarkable staging propels a glorious, farcical romp set in the sumptuous surroundings of the ancient city of Ephesus. Brilliant comedy abounds as Shakespeare expertly weaves these boisterously entertaining strands together allowing his audience to stay one step ahead of his characters and laugh heartily at the outrageous results.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $30 and for the ArtsBound program, $7. They may be purchased online at www.quickcenter.com or by calling the Box Office at (203) 254-4010 or the toll free number at 1-877-ARTS-396. For more information, please visit the website at www.quickcenter.com.
