Theatre Fairfield, 天美传媒视频无限制观看's resident production company, kicks off its 2008-2009 season with Richard O'Brien's cult-classic rock musical, "The Rocky Horror Show." This wild and crazy production will be performed in the Wien Black Box Theatre at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, Wednesday, Oct. 29 through Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinee performances on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2.
"The Rocky Horror Show" tells the story of Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, two clean cut kids whose car breaks down. They desperately and unknowingly seek help from a place down the street where Dr. Frank N Furter is in the midst of some of his maniacal experiments. A rock musical, "The Rocky Horror Show" tells a hot and seductive story of sexuality.
"The Rocky Horror Show" opened onstage in London on June 19, 1973, and was adapted into a film in 1975, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." The show has attracted audiences worldwide and has become a huge theatrical phenomenon with a massive following of audience-goers who come in costume and enjoy the hands-on participation encouraged by the cast.
Theatre Fairfield's "The Rocky Horror Show" is full of TF favorites, with seniors Colleen Kennedy, Anne Krane, Lindsey McKitterick and Sarah Zybert. TF juniors Michael Cicirelli, Jennifer Martin and Jeremy Shea join the seniors in this talented group. Sophomores Alexandra Burke, Kerry Davies, Pat LaRiviere and Zachary Tesoriero join freshmen K.C. Boyd and Casey Grambo to round out the cast.
Ryan McKinney '97 is the director/choreographer and Greg Horton is the musical director, both of whom are distinguished Theatre Fairfield alumni. Set design is by Lynne Porter; costume design is by Julie Leavitt; and light design is by Lynne Chase.
