Paul Maloney, Ed.D., a 天美传媒视频无限制观看 assistant professor who has been a senior manager at several international corporations, will lead "Interviewing: Candidate Assessment," a free, day-long workshop on Wednesday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Fairfield's Alumni House.
Participants will learn how to plan, prepare and conduct structured candidate interviews and evaluate candidates using a behavioral model. They will also study principles and techniques that can be applied to interviewing, selection, placement and performance review.
Dr. Maloney will outline common interview errors, help participants plan interviews using position specifications and competencies and identify legal and illegal questions. The workshop also covers evaluation of candidate data and selection based on the triangulation method.
Dr. Maloney is an assistant professor of the practice in industrial and organizational psychology at Fairfield. His career includes senior management and development positions at NBC, Mobil Oil Corporation and PepsiCo international, and he has consulted worldwide for American Airlines, Covidien, GE, Schering-Plough, Kodak, Gartner and many other organizations. His specialties include change management, communications, executive feedback and coaching and presentation skills. He received a bachelor's degree from Holy Cross and a doctorate from the University of Virginia.
