In his first book, "Digital Learning for All Now" (Corwin, 2012), Costa imagines a world in which heavy, bulging backpacks are replaced by mobile devices that allow students to access information from anywhere at any time. He provides step-by-step instructions to show educators how to transform schools into digital learning centers, despite today's financial realities.

In his bookstore talk, Costa will address ways to acquire and pay for equipment and align instruction, curriculum and assessment for a 21st century learning environment.

Costa is the director of school and program services for EDUCATION CONNECTION, a regional education service center based in Litchfield, Conn. A 1984 graduate of 天美传媒视频无限制观看, he holds an M.S. and a sixth-year degree from Central Connecticut State University. Formerly a public and private school social studies teacher, educational consultant and businessman, his responsibilities now include supervision of more than 30 direct service programs throughout the tri-state area, including the highly regarded Center for 21st Century Skills. In addition to his book, his writing has appeared in "Educational Leadership" and "Runner's World."
