FAIRFIELD, Conn., (August 3, 2017) 鈥斕烀来绞悠滴尴拗乒劭 has announced Don Gibson, PhD, as Vice Provost in the Office of Academic Affairs. His聽appointment will begin September 1, 2017.
Dr. Gibson has served as Dean of the Dolan School of Business for the past six years, overseeing the School鈥檚 expanding and innovative programming, national recognition, top tier rankings, and increased enrollment. A Professor of Management, Dr. Gibson has taught courses in organizational behavior and leadership at Fairfield since 2001. Most recently, Dr. Gibson has served as Special Assistant to the Provost throughout several leadership transitions, including the appointment of the University鈥檚 new president.

Dr. Gibson is joining a team in the Provost鈥檚 office that includes Dr. Siegel, and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mary Frances Malone, PhD. During the transition, Mark Ligas, PhD, currently associate dean of the Dolan School, will serve as interim dean, and Dawn Massey, PhD, will service as interim associate dean. A national search for the permanent Dolan School dean will begin in the Fall of 2017.
