The Quick Center for the Arts Welcomes Two New Staff Members

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (August 16, 2017) 鈥 天美传媒视频无限制观看鈥檚 Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts is delighted to open its with a dazzling array of cultural offerings and a dynamic, expanded team in place to make it happen. Two new additions to the Quick Center鈥檚 professional team include Marni Smith Katz as manager of business development and Melissa Matuska as sales and events manager.

Executive Director Peter Van Heerden invites patrons to visit the Quick to experience compelling drama, dance, and music, and meet the new team members. 鈥淭his year鈥檚 season is unparalleled in the Quick鈥檚 history of presenting innovative performances that you will not find anywhere else in Connecticut,鈥 said Van Heerden. 鈥淣ow, with a full complement of staff on board, the Quick is poised to move to the next level of artistic presentation.鈥

Marni Smith Katz joins the Quick Center as manager of business development with the goal of building the Quick鈥檚 relationships with , throughout Fairfield County.

Van Heerden highlights that, 鈥淢arni鈥檚 experience as a nonprofit advancement and foundation professional will help to strengthen the Quick鈥檚 relationships with longtime friends and bring new friends to the theatre.鈥 Most recently, Smith Katz served in an operations role at the Dalio Foundation in Westport. Prior to that, Smith Katz was development director for the Westport Arts Center, which she joined after eleven years in educational advancement at Ezra Academy in Woodbridge.

Smith Katz, who began her career as an attorney at Green And Gross, P.C. in Bridgeport, is excited to return to her passion for developing relationships to support the arts and education. She is reachable at msmithkatz@fairfield.edu or 203-254-400 ext. 2980.

Melissa Matuska joins the Quick Center team as the new sales and events manager.

鈥淢elissa brings a wealth of experience in events management from her recent position at Jay Z鈥檚 40/40 Club in New York City, and a strong background in volunteer management from her work in alumni relations at Long Island University and the University of Arkansas,鈥 said Van Heerden.
