FAIRFIELD, Conn. (April 5, 2018) - The magic of the circus is making its way to the Quick Center on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 with performances guaranteed to amaze the entire family. Experience the wonder of Machine de Cirque, the Qu茅b茅cois company that captivates audiences with creative, funny, and visually stunning performances. Giving contemporary flair to the traditional circus, Machine de Cirque acrobats literally fly through the air, leaving audience members on the edge of their seats.
鈥淢achine de Cirque finds ways to marry circus arts, music, and dance movement,鈥 says the Boston Globe. 鈥淎nd as with the best of those productions, Machine de Cirque amounts to a serial astonishment when it is clicking on all cylinders.鈥 This performance tells the story of five coworkers traveling through a post-apocalyptic world. It is both comical and nostalgic at times, while showcasing incredible acrobatic stunts and a cheeky sense of humor. Think of men flying off of giant teeter-boards, bicycle stunts, juggling, on a set comprised of vertigo-inducing scaffolding and ropes.
As a non-profit organization based in Quebec City, Machine de Cirque brings together some of Canada's greatest entertainers, specializing in both the arts and technology. Machine de Cirque strives to deliver spectacular performances, and to expand their team through collaboration with other regional cultural organizations for the development of local talent.
Members of Machine de Cirque even succeeded at breaking the Guinness World Record for Most Consecutive Backflips on a Teeter Boar
Machine de Cirque will transform the Quick Center stage into the big top on Friday, April 20 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $45, $35 | Quick Members $27.
