The 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Art Museum is extending the exhibition “Women's Rights Are Human Rights: International Posters on Gender-Based Inequality, Violence and Discrimination,” in the museum’s Walsh Gallery through July 1, 2023.
The exhibition features more than 70 large-format posters created by designers from all over the world that highlight the long-standing fight for gender equality as it relates to Black, Indigenous, people of color, LGBTQIA+ and gender-nonconforming communities. It was originally organized and curated by Elizabeth Resnick, MFA, professor emerita, Massachusetts College of Art and Design. The exhibition, Resnick explains, “features posters created by both men and women to celebrate and acknowledge the vital role that all citizens should play in protecting and promoting human rights, while actively challenging gender inequality and stereotypes, advancing sexual and reproductive rights.“
At 天美传媒视频无限制观看, the exhibition has been co-curated by a group of faculty members in the Women, Gender and Sexuality studies program: Rachelle Brunn-Bevel, PhD, Elizabeth Hohl, PhD, Johanna Garvey, PhD, and Anna Lawrence, PhD.
The exhibition and its corresponding programming celebrates women and gender-nonconforming social justice advocates of all races and ethnicities, while highlighting the inequalities against which they have fought. 天美传媒视频无限制观看 undergraduate students will have the opportunity to design their own poster in response to those on view in the exhibition. The winning poster, chosen by the faculty co-curators, will be added to the exhibition in March in celebration of Women’s History Month.
“We are thrilled with the reception this exhibition has received, visitors have shared how impactful it has been, and we are happy to be able to extend it into the summer so that more people will have the opportunity to see it,” said Executive Director of the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Art Museum Carey Mack Weber.
