天美传媒视频无限制观看’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will presents N.Ormes, a performance by the revolutionary circus duo Agatha et Adrien (Agatha and Adrien) on Wednesday, Oct. 4 and Thursday, Oct. 5, each night at 7:30 p.m.

Recent graduates of the famed Circus School of Québec, Agathe et Adrien have developed a unique, highly physical circus and dance vocabulary. The duo has worked with the renowned Cirque Éloize and y Giners companies on European tours and at circus festivals around the world.

Agathe et Adrien reject the standard conventions of the traditional circus, exploring and destroying its gender roles and gender expectations. N.Ormes features a relationship between two characters, who struggle with preconceptions, power, and friendship. Through dance, acrobatics, and story-telling, Agathe et Adrien present a truly unique performance that shatters the expectations of circus and pushes the audience to reconsider their assumptions about our bodies and our roles in society.

“The Quick has a long history of presenting inventive interpretations of the circus,” said Lori Jones, the Quick’s director of programming and audience development. “Audiences will not be disappointed by our latest iteration; Agathe et Adrien’s performance will be like nothing they’ve seen before,” she added.

Agathe et Adrien’s four-day residency is funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program and the six New England state arts agencies. As part of the residency, the artists will be leading workshops and conversations with students at the Regional Center for the Arts in Trumbull, and Bridgeport Public Schools through the Arts for All program. The workshops will provide high school students with new skills including balance, team building, and partnering work.

This event is additionally sponsored by the Government of Quebec, WPKN 89.5 Community Radio, and the Government of Canada. Tickets are now on sale on quickcenter.com for $35, or $25 for Quick Members. For more information, contact the Quick Center Box Office at 203-254-4010, Monday through Friday, from 12 to 5 p.m.
