Esteemed pianists Orin Grossman, PhD, and Giulia Contaldo will perform An Afternoon In Paris at 天美传媒视频无限制观看’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 3 p.m. The two pianists, who are also cousins, will play some of the greatest music by Debussy, Ravel, and Milhaud for one piano four-hands, and two pianos.
Dr. Grossman is well-known to the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 audience, having performed many times on the Quick Center stage. A member of the 天美传媒视频无限制观看 faculty since 1975, Dr. Grossman has served as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, academic vice president, and currently as emeritus professor of visual and performing arts.
Italian and American pianist Giulia Contaldo has won numerous European competitions and has played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, amongst many others. She is a rising star in the piano firmament and delights audiences with her inspiring performances. Contaldo came to international attention when she stepped in for Eliso Virsaladze to play Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic, conducted by Omer Meir Wellbar at The Bridgewater Hall (Manchester, UK) and broadcast live by BBC Radio 3.
