Graduate Assistantships

The Dolan School of Business offers Graduate Assistant positions that support a number of offices including the Career Development Center, the Dean’s Suite, as well as academic departments. Most positions are for one academic year fall and spring. The positions are competitive and there is an application and interview process in the spring semester for the following academic year.

Graduate Assistants are awarded a scholarship for each semester they hold their position.

MFA Entrance Scholarship

This $5,000 grant is awarded on the basis of merit to one promising student entering the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program. Questions can be directed to program director Carol Ann Davis at cdavis13@fairfield.edu.

MFA Continuing Study Grant

This grant awarded on the basis of need to students entering students on the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program. Questions can be directed to the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@fairfield.edu.

College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Veterans Fellowships

The College of Arts and Sciences is proud to offer a number of graduate level veterans fellowships to former servicemen and servicewomen interested in pursuing a master’s of fine arts (MFA) in creative writing or a master’s of public administration (MPA) from 天美传媒视频无限制观看. Fellowships range from $3,000 to $10,000 and are available to graduate students who have exhausted all or a portion of their GI Bill® educational benefits. Documentation verifying veteran and VA benefits status must be provided in order to apply. Albert M. Loch Scholarship

Awarded by 天美传媒视频无限制观看’s Learning for a Lifetime Program, this scholarship is presented to two deserving 天美传媒视频无限制观看 students (one at the undergraduate and one at the graduate level).The scholarship provides tuition for up to three credits and is available to students who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Students must submit one faculty letter of recommendation and a completed application, including cover letter. Applications are available in the Kelley Center.

In return, graduate assistants receive a stipend disbursed twice; once in fall semester and once in the spring semester. A number of scholarship opportunities exist for graduate students pursuing an advanced degree in engineering at Fairfield, including grants for international students.

Opportunity Scholarship

The purpose of the School of Education and Human Develop Opportunity Scholarship is to recruit and retain a more diverse student population and work force. Additionally, the scholarship provides financial support and recognition of academic success to prospective and current graduate students pursuing a master’s. The scholarships are intended to support students’ progress toward their professional degrees to help ensure the future impact and contribution to their field and the populations they will serve. Candidates may self-nominate for the scholarship, or faculty may nominate candidates based on academic potential and qualifications.

天美传媒视频无限制观看 is one of several Southwest Connecticut universities that has received grant funding from the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program (BHWET). The BHWET grant will deliver financial support, enhanced education, and specialized internship training in integrated, team-based care to 103 competitively selected students in four of Fairfield’s behavioral health masters’ programs over the course of four years: the Master of Social Work (MSW), the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), and the Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Students are required to be in their final internship experience in order to qualify.

Nursing Scholarships

A number of scholarship opportunities exist for students studying within the nursing profession. These include awards offered through the Neighborhood Diabetes Education Program, the Orthopaedic Specialty Group Education Foundation, and others both regionally and nationally.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Midwifery Scholarship

Scholarships are available through the MatCare HRSA grant, Trauma Informed Care for Midwifery Education Diversity (TICMED), aimed to increase the midwifery workforce and to address maternal health disparities. Eligible midwifery students can receive up to full tuition benefits and a cost of living stipend.

Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW)

Scholarships are available through the Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW) program, aimed to increase the number and diversity of nurse practitioners prepared to provide evidence-based, culturally competent primary care and mental health services to underserved and rural communities. The grant provides tuition for students in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) programs of up to $25,000 for full-time students and up to $15,000 for part-time students in their final year of study.

Nurse Anesthesia Traineeship (NAT)

Scholarships are available through the Nurse Anesthesia Traineeship (NAT) program, which aims to increase the number of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) entering the workforce and expand access to anesthesia services in rural, urban, and tribal underserved communities. This grant offers funding for tuition for Nurse Anesthesia Residents during the second and third years of the full-time Nurse Anesthesia Program.
