Men Host Monmouth on Saturday at 1 p.m., Women Challenge Iona on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Fairfield Men’s and Women’s Basketball will both host their respective Senior Day celebrations this weekend as the Stags conclude the 2017-18 regular season at home. The Fairfield men will host Monmouth on Saturday at Webster Bank Arena at 1 p.m. while the women challenge Iona on campus at Alumni Hall on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Fairfield Men’s Basketball Class of 2018 is comprised of Jared Harper, Tyler Nelson and Jerome Segura. The trio has been part of 55 Stags victories to date, including two national postseason appearances in the 2016 and 2017 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). Individually, Nelson recently claimed his place as Fairfield’s all-time leading scorer with 2,050 career points, surpassing the 2,006 points tallied by Fairfield Athletics Hall of Famer Tony George ’86.
Fairfield Women’s Basketball, which will play at Monmouth on Friday evening before celebrating Senior Day on Sunday, has earned 60 wins with seniors Samantha Cooper, Macey Hollenshead and Kristen McLaughlin on the roster. Over the past four seasons, the Stags have reached the MAAC Championship Semifinals twice and played on the national stage with a trip to the 2016 Women’s Basketball Invitational (WBI). Cooper has etched her name in the Fairfield record books with 1,255 career points, and she also ranks fifth in program history for career rebounds, with 970.
Following this weekend’s action, both teams will advance to the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. will announce the Stags’ game times, dates and opponents as they are finalized by the conference office.
