Former 天美传媒视频无限制观看 goalkeeper Matt Turner '17 continues his ascension through the national team ranks by earning his second straight call up to the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT). Turner, who was also a part of the November camp, was invited when the national team reconvened for its current training session.

Turner earned a roster spot in November but did not see any action as the USMNT secured a pair of CONCACAF Nations League Group ‘A’ victories against Canada and Cuba. Most recently, he was named to the 25-man roster for the team’s January Camp in Qatar and Los Angeles where he will challenge for his first international cap in a friendly against Costa Rica on Feb. 1.

Turner continues to earn high marks for his play. He was recently lauded as one of the top 10 American players in Major League Soccer (MLS), one of two goalkeepers on the list. His play continues to gain attention throughout the MLS.

He recently completed his fourth season in the league, the last two campaigns as the New England Revolution’s starting goalkeeper. The Revolution extended Turner’s contract last August after the goalkeeper started 47 matches – registering 10 shutouts – during the 2018 and 2019 campaigns. Turner also garnered another start in the MLS Cup Playoffs this past season.

Turner finished fifth in the 2019 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year voting after placing in the MLS season statistics. His .748 save percentage was third in the MLS, while his 4.54 saves per 90 minutes rated second in the league.

As a member of 天美传媒视频无限制观看 Men’s Soccer from 2012-15, Turner was the team’s starting goalkeeper as a junior and senior. In his final campaign, he played in all 18 matches and recorded a .793 save percentage with a 0.98 goals-against average. Turner collected seven shutouts in just over 1750 minutes of action, playing every minute of the season. He earned a berth to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Second Team.

As a junior, Turner led the nation in save percentage by stopping 89 percent of the shots he faced (78 saves, 10 goals allowed) and helped the Stags lead the nation in shutout percentage. He ended his season with a 0.50 goals-against average. He earned two MAAC Defensive Player of the Week awards and was named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team after helping the Stags reach the championship match.

Turner was also a member of the Jersey Express of the Premier Development League (PDL) for two seasons. He helped the team reach the League's semifinal game in 2014 and advance to the League's Eastern Conference championship game in 2015.
